Molalla High School is actively recruiting for a Head Cheer Coach

JOB GOAL:

 

To organize junior varsity and varsity cheer squads and coordinate the overall spirit program for grades 9-12.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Shall recommend, develop, and design squad composition and expectations.
2. Coverage:
   1. Practices: Either the head cheer advisor or his/her assistant should attend every scheduled practice.
   2. Fall - football season: Head Cheer Coach should attend all home games.
   3. Winter - basketball season: Head Cheer Coach should attend all home games.
   4. Spring - tryouts: Prepare newly elected squads for next season.
   5. Summer Camp: Ensure arrangements are made for the varsity to attend camp.
3. Organize and supervise all other related Cheer activities; such as fund­raisers, dances, clinics, or shopping trips.
4. Have a valid first aid card.
5. Administer the cheer constitution and rules regarding conduct, eligibility, and practice attendance. Each year, evaluate and update the constitution as necessary.
6. Counsel and handle all complaints and problems that occur concerning the cheer team and/or its members.
7. File yearly, a cheer budget to the district athletic director.
8. Shall order, set criteria for, monitor, and determine the types of awards to be presented to cheer members at the conclusion of each season.
9. Responsible for publicity to the community, parents, and school regarding cheer events.
10. Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the Board or Administration.
