Molalla High School is actively recruiting for a Head Cheer Coach

JOB GOAL:
To organize junior varsity and varsity cheer squads and coordinate the overall spirit program for grades 9-12.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shall recommend, develop, and design squad composition and expectations.
- Coverage:
- Practices: Either the head cheer advisor or his/her assistant should attend every scheduled practice.
- Fall - football season: Head Cheer Coach should attend all home games.
- Winter - basketball season: Head Cheer Coach should attend all home games.
- Spring - tryouts: Prepare newly elected squads for next season.
- Summer Camp: Ensure arrangements are made for the varsity to attend camp.
- Organize and supervise all other related Cheer activities; such as fundĀraisers, dances, clinics, or shopping trips.
- Have a valid first aid card.
- Administer the cheer constitution and rules regarding conduct, eligibility, and practice attendance. Each year, evaluate and update the constitution as necessary.
- Counsel and handle all complaints and problems that occur concerning the cheer team and/or its members.
- File yearly, a cheer budget to the district athletic director.
- Shall order, set criteria for, monitor, and determine the types of awards to be presented to cheer members at the conclusion of each season.
- Responsible for publicity to the community, parents, and school regarding cheer events.
- Performs such other tasks as may be assigned by the Board or Administration.
