Lifeguards needed for School Swim Lessons - at Molalla Aquatic Center.
This causal hire position will begin as soon as October 16, 2017.
Certification preferred.
Days and hours will vary. (TBA)
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to execute each requirement satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed for the position.
- Maintain current certifications in Lifeguard Training; First Aid; CPR: PR and AED Essentials.
- Work as part of the lifeguard team while on duty.
- Be able to swim a continuous 500 yard swim in 10:00 minutes or less.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.
- Ensure the safety of all participants in the building, including the water.
- Maintain positive relations with patrons and other staff.
- Attend trainings as required by the Swim Lesson Coordinator.
- Uphold the ethics of an American Red Cross Lifeguard.
- Demonstrate maturity and an understanding of water safety.
- Respond positively to constructive feedback given by Swim Lesson Coordinator.
- Show initiative in cleaning, guarding and other duties.
- Other duties as assigned by the Swim Lesson Coordinator.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, BONDING, AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED:
(If a license, certificate, bonding, registration and/or testing is required, then it must be obtained by the end of the probationary period for continued employment.)
- Possess and maintain a current First Aid/CPR Card
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
- Possess and maintain a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Oxygen Administration are encouraged but not required.
